  • Task Timing has been introduced to all Labnext accounts with the Productivity module enabled.

Task Timing allows a user to Start a task and stop a task and track the time it took to complete the task

Settings in Lab Details control this feature for all tasks and lab overrides exist in the task:

This enables the lab to have the software work as you are used to for all tasks and then set a timing feature for just the desired tasks.

When selecting to time a task you will get a second selection to allow for the timing to be paused.

When completing a task the task will be started

Started tasks will look like this on the case

When you come back to the complete tasks window you will be able to see the cases that are waiting

There is an option with the pencil to undo the task as well.

Or with the pause setting enabled in the task another option to pause the work will be available.

Then when the task is completed it will look like this

The case result will look like this

Reporting for the tasks timing is found in Reports | Case Management | Task Cycle Timing with options in building the report.

The task result looks like this.

The remaining choices have the same headings and look like this.

  • Streamlined Account Access with DDX for Labnext Customers.

Here are some practical strategies to consider:

Labnext provides customers with access to their account information through DDX. Some useful features for your customers
    include the following:

When customers log into DDX, they can easily perform quick tasks from the portal, depending on the permissions set up for their labs.

At the top right, you’ll see the user linked to the practice. When the practice is selected, the following menus become available.

Customers have the ability to view their invoices in a comprehensive list format. To enhance their experience, they can filter the invoices by a specific date range, making it easier to find transactions from a particular period. Additionally, by selecting an invoice, they can expand the details to gain insights into each patient’s information, including service dates, treatment descriptions, and any outstanding balances. This feature allows for a clearer understanding of invoicing details and helps customers stay organized.

When users click on “My Partner” in the top left corner, they will access a selection of more detailed menus that highlight the various services and features available from the lab.

Each of these features is specifically designed to assist practices in addressing any questions they may have regarding their accounts with your lab. By providing clear access to relevant information and tools, these features enable practices to effectively manage their accounts and quickly find the answers they need.

  • Unlock Greater Financial Control: New Credit Options & DDX Payment Authorizations Ready

Here are some practical strategies to consider:

The credit window will now look like the payments window. If you enter an amount on the top right and press save, it will automatically check the oldest invoice(s) and apply the credit to them.

You can also check the boxes in the available invoices list. The total will appear at the top, and when you press save, the credit will be applied to those invoices.

You can also select an invoice and change the amount to the right of the row in the credit column to credit an amount less than the total invoice amount.

Any credits or payments with an apply button next to them will now allow you to click the apply button and select each invoice to which you want to apply the credit.

Labnext is integrated with WorldPay for credit card processing. If this integration is not in place, a DDX account can authorize a payment, allowing the lab to run the card it has on file.

There are two ways to manage the payment authorization. If you don’t want the DDX account to send this notification, you can turn off the permission in: Settings ► Lab Details ► Permission

To ensure you receive an email notification when this happens, go to Settings ► Users. Click “Edit” next to the user, then scroll down to the Email Subscriptions section. Check the box for “Payments” and click “Save” at the bottom of the page.

When a new account creates a DDX account, the software automatically accepts this request. If you would like to see these requests before they become active, you can go to Settings ► Lab Details ► Preferences, turn the auto-accept off, and save.

After you have the account configured to your liking, you will set the status to active and save.

To receive an email notification, go to Settings ► Users. Press edit next to the user and scroll down to email subscriptions. Check the box for Accounts Updated by the account and save at the bottom.

  • Optimizing your Labnext experience can greatly enhance your efficiency and streamline your workflows.

Here are some practical strategies to consider:

Incorporate a field to capture shipping costs for each case. In the Ship Engine setup, you have the flexibility to configure UPS and FedEx shipping services. Now, the shipping charges will be clearly displayed on the screen, and for added convenience, you have the option to seamlessly include these costs on the invoice.

    Holidays are set up in:

Settings ► Case Settings ► Scheduling and Holidays

Setting these dates ensures that tasks cannot be scheduled on holidays and that ship-to-account dates cannot be assigned on those days. Additionally, delivery dates will now adhere to this holiday setting as well.

New controls in shipping services now allow for time-of-day delivery. For example, you can have a driver who delivers in the morning and one who delivers in the afternoon. This information is displayed in the case and shown on the closed invoice window to prevent mistakes.

Do not change the ship date. You can now control the ship date when adding a procedure so it remains the same.

In Account Management, you can now view a report on an account’s last case. You will set the number of days to be considered.

When you generate the report, it will provide a list of accounts that meet the criteria along with relevant details for following up with your customers

  • Practical strategies to optimize your Labnext experience

In DDX, accounts are able to enter notes based on your permission settings in Lab Details. Now an additional Notes choice exists that can be disabled based on stage.

A stage is where tasks are assigned to a progress stage, then as tasks are completed they move along the progress bar. This setting allows for notes to be restricted if the case has moved through a certain stage.

In Settings ► Accounts, you will see the status displayed in the status column.  This list can be exported to Excel to the right of the add button.

Now, there is an additional setting that will automatically allow the status to change to Prospect after a certain amount of time.

This function is located in Settings ► Lab Details ► Preferences.
